This collection was based on a desire to diversify and lift up POC representation in imagery. There needs to be more diversity in representation through out the arts. It is my desire is to participate by creating hopeful and helpful images of people of color to honor the black experience.

Speaking with Our Better Angels
This painting is a vibrant profile portrait that invites us to choose light and compassion over shadow and division. Through bold swirls of color—fiery reds and oranges blending into softer purples and pinks—I aimed to capture the strength and complexity of our better selves. The figure’s black-framed glasses serve as a clear lens, focusing us on clarity and awareness amid the intensity. Creating this work was a reminder that even when the world feels overwhelming, we can always turn toward hope and connection. I hope it encourages you to listen to your own better angels and embrace the light within.
